Summertime Chic

Thrifted: small black shoulder bag, LOFT shorts
When I encountered these shorts I could not have been happier! Cute, black, professional-looking shorts, that fit perfectly and had pockets? What more could I ask for! To make a more summery outfit  I chose a salmon top to pair it with. The top is from Rainbow and it is very light and airy with an interesting semi-open back. To tie it all together I chose this black necklace that I got while I was taking a class in Ecuador, and threw on my thrifted black purse. Super cute, comfy, and cool for a hot summer's day!

Step Into Fall

So I am going to start by saying no one has any idea how badly I have wanted booties like these. I am not into wearing heels around campus and always wished I could find a pair that are not too tall-then bam! I was surprised to find them at Forever 21 while out with my family trying on some bridesmaids dresses for my cousin's wedding. This scarf is one of my favorites and I bought it years ago in a little shop in Chinatown. Fall around campus is looking beautiful.

So what's thrifted? Dress $6

Black and White

Finding an awesome skirt is awesome in general. It is even better when this skirt is only $4...and brand new. This is my favorite skirt that I own. It goes with pretty much everything and I'll never forget that I got it thrifted for $4 brand new with tags on it for $34.99.
It's getting a little more chilly out here so full knitted sweaters and tights are a good way to stay warm :).

So what's thrifted? Skirt $4, Bag $4.

Treasure Hunt Finds: Anthropologie Lost Time Skirt

Some of the best finds are the randomest finds that completely surprise you. While browsing the thrift store a few days ago, I came across a skirt with clocks on it and I thought it was really quirky and fun. It was extremely well made and I started to think it was maybe from a local boutique. Then I looked at the tag and noticed it was by Floreat, which sounded familiar but I wasn't sure. When I got home, I decided to look it up because it was so well made and practically new--it turned out this skirt was from Anthropologie! Which is amazing for one because everything by Anthropologie has a kind of whimsical feel to it and secondly...they are very pricey. This skirt originally retailed for $110. How much did I find it for................$4. Thrifting, everyone, is an amazing thing.

Anyway, it fit perfectly and is longer than what I usually wear but that's okay because I already have dreams of wearing it when I teach how to do time to my students when I am a teacher! Hahaha, clothes might excite me a little too much.

Happy Shopping!

Sophia
